Just wanted to share with you that I have been nominated as one of the top three finalists in The Sunday Times Pride of Australia Medal 2010 for the FAIR GO category. The FAIR GO category is for an Australian permanent resident or citizen, born overseas, who has enriched Australia through their honesty, hard work and willingness to embrace their new home. I was nominated based on the Oracle work I was involved in and awarded an international prize.

Last year (2009) I have competed the worldwide Oracle Application Express application development competition organised by Oracle Inc. and I was the only winner from Australia. The winners list can be found at Oracle Application Express Competition 2009.

I will attend an awards ceremony on the 4 September so will know the outcome at this time.

22nd century people will use skyway and sky vehicles for transport. Airways will be the replacement of current ordinary transport. People will have air car (plane or helicopter) for private transport instead of private car, bus, train etc. It will open a new era in over populated country like Bangladesh where transport condition is horrible and hard to extend roads due to over population. No road, no highway, no traffic jam, no traffic police, no collision, no budget for new road construction and redevelopment.

Planning to travel from Chittagong to Dhaka currently takes over 7 hours by bus or train then it will take 15 minutes.

Unfortunately we will not see these unless Allah keeps us (who are reading this) alive for that long. Just an imagination and dream from my dictionary.

বাংলাদেশ স্বাদীন হয়েছে আজ হতে ৪০ বছর আগে, আমাদের রাজনীতিবিদরা মুক্তি যুদ্ধের চেতনা এবং মুক্তি যুদ্ধের কথা বলে বলে তাদের মূল্যবান সময় পার করে. তার মানে কি আমরা এখনো স্বাদীন হয়নি? তারা যদি এসব সময় দেশের উন্নয়নের কাজে লাগাত, আমাদের দেশ হয়ত অনেক এগিয়ে যেত.
